There's nothing like a Sunday scroll! (Except maybe a collagen-boosting drink - want!) Thank you for including my post in this fab list! I feel like I've been mis-representing my Substack lately, as I've been writing a lot about changes in my professional and writing life, versus life here in Madrid, but this post has reminded me why I started writing it in the first place, and it is inspiring to see so many other writers writing so interestingly about life abroad, so thank you so much for that!
Hey Kaila, First....a very belated thank you for including my Substack A Renaissance Life in your list a few weeks ago! That was a short and sweet list - and delighted to be included. So one thing I've learned in Italy.....Someone told me this, wisely, but of course I first thought she was just being cynical. She said, Don't expect to get more than one main thing done a day. As a free-lance designer from the US and daughter of a farmer, I couldn't imagine doing one thing a day. I started my day with my "TO DO" list! And loved the satisfaction of crossing through the list as I accomplished my goals throughout a day. Ha! In Italy, I have learned (mostly through frustration, then curiosity, then shock and awe, then resignation) that, yes, indeed, one thing a day is something to celebrate!! "Tranquila. Tranquila." they say to me.
This is a fantastic resource you've put together and I'm flattered that you included one of my posts - thank you! I now have a handful of other posts open on my browser to catch up on 😄
Loved this Sunday Scroll! And thank you for featuring several of my articles 🥰
On a completely different note, I'm SO interested in your experience with kambo!!! You should write an article IMO! I would love to read it and the intention you set for the ritual was 👌
