Alright, I've had a little coffee. Here are a few more folks. Most (but not all) of them are definitely politically driven and leaving the US because of its political and social deterioration.

If you are including people who have moved abroad to travel full-time, I suggest Claire Polders' https://clairepolders.substack.com/.

Hey Michael, thanks for the recommendation! But I limited this list to people who live abroad in one place. 🌷

Thank you, lovely Kaila, for sharing all these fellow explorers—some already familiar and cherished, others still to be discovered (and to whom I’m heading to subscribe right away!). It means so much not to feel alone in this life beyond borders.

A heartfelt thank you for mentioning me with such kind words. I truly treasure our conversations, the reflections sparked by our posts, and the experiences we share!

Did I miss it or did no one move to Germany?

We have 3 writers living abroad in Germany in our database. But no, we didn't feature any in this list. Germany is a notoriously difficult place to move to as a foreigner!

Thanks for your response! I lived in Germany for 40 years as an expat and am hoping to move back soon. Was hoping to hear what others are saying about their experience now. You are certainly correct about a difficult place to move to!!

Oh neat! I hope you're able to find your way back, Alice. I'll keep an eye out for more people living abroad in Germany to add to our database!

Kaila, since he hasn't mentioned himself, I would recommend adding Dan Keane at https://www.american.nz/. He does a great job of exploring the difficulties and distortions of life in another country, especially in New Zealand.

Very cool. I'm in Portugal. I moved here from San Francisco 4 years ago with my partner, my (then 10-year-old) kid, a middle-aged mutt and a small but opinionated parrot. I've been writing about our move and our life in Portugal for almost 5 years now.
